My name is Mein Levy, I am an actress, model and creator of content on social networks in the field of body image.

"Taking up space" is a story about a girl who was all out and didn't think anything was wrong with her.
That girl is me.

It's the outside world that taught me that I have to shrink in order to succeed, and it's my inner world that knew - there must be another way.
When I was a child and imagined what it was like to be an actress, I didn't imagine myself standing on a huge stage and receiving thunderous applause.
I imagined the articles, the interviews, the meetings on the street.
More than I wanted to be famous - I wanted to tell my story.

My talk goes through crisis points in my life from the perspective of a girl, a teenager, a soldier, a student, and a fat woman in a society that sanctifies a thin beauty ideal.

We will talk about very personal moments, through models built in our heads and how we can take a place in the world to walk with confidence about who we are and how much our value is worth.
